Canadian born, New York City based multi-instrumentalist/producer Rob Ritchie has performed across Canada and the United States, Europe, Australia and South America playing guitar, bass, mandolin, lap steel, pedal steel, and keyboards and can regularly be seen performing in one of many of New York City’s popular music venues such as The Bowery Ballroom, Rockwood Music Hall and Barbes. Rob’s adventurous musical spirit has led him to collaborations with Dolores O’Riorden of The Cranberries, Andy Rourke of the legendary UK rock band The Smiths, Grammy winning songwriter Liz Rose, Arsenio Hall, Johnny Gill, Latin Grammy winning pianist and film composer Dario Eskanazi, Zach Williams and Kanene Pipkin of the Lone Bellow, Young Oceans, The Last Royals, Boz Boorer, Jojo Siwa, and many other international artists. He has recorded commercial music for film and television, and composes, records and produces music in his home studio in Brooklyn, NY.
As an educator/clinician Rob has taught private lessons, directed ensembles and coached rock bands at The Canadian Conservatory, The Park Slope Rock School, and has attended and contributed to many music workshops as a performing participant such as the The Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music. He has received funding for his musical contributions from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Banff Center for the Arts. He maintains an active private lessons studio teaching students of all levels on guitar, bass, ukulele, theory and harmony, and songwriting
